Advent Calendar 2026 – We are all in this together

Last week we announced our Advent calendar and you may be wondering why I chose the theme:

We are all in this together!

First of all, it’s a hint about the colours. You can expect something colourful, including semi-solid, variegated and speckled mini skeins.

But also, knitting/crochet has always been so much more to me than just a hobby. I have met my best friend through my yarn shop, and over the years have made friends through our crafting café that also have a place in my personal life.
I once came across a phrase: “Knitting (crochet) is more than creating stitches—it’s also creating connections.” And it is very true for me.

Over the years many amazing customers have visited my shop and as I am instantly curious about what they will make from the yarn, it fills me with joy when they come back to show their finished item or I see a picture of it online. Hosting our monthly crafting café has brought a group of people into my life that I otherwise would not have met and joining social media has introduced me to many more crafting friends in other parts of the world. I have seen some spectacular crafted projects that I could have never imagined myself and I have learned so much through other crafters that I am very grateful for.
