The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up using 3,5mm (US 4) circular needles for the brim and 4mm (US 6) circular needles for the body. If you are not using long circular needles and the Magic Loop Method, you can use 40cm (16”) circular needles but you may need to change to double pointed needles as you decrease.

SIZE: 1/3 – 6/9 – 12/18 mos [2 – 3/5 – 6/9 – 10+ yrs]

MATERIAL:
– two different colours of DK weight yarn: 100gr. = 200m (3.5 oz = 218yds)
Colour A: Contrast colour: approx. 35-40-40 [50-50-50-50]m (40-45-45 [55-55-55-55]yds)
Colour B: Main colour: approx. 80-90-110 [120-130-140-150]m (90-100-120 [140-150-155-165]yds) – yardage does NOT include pom pom as required amount can vary significantly depending on size
Yarn used in pattern: Filcolana Peruvian col. MC 145/CC 352 & MC 147/CC 954
– 3,5mm & 4mm circular needles (US 4 & 6) or size needed to obtain gauge
– stitch marker
– wool needle
